Edward Winston Rolland

Funeral services for Edward Winston Rolland, age 63, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2000, in the First Baptist Church in Howardwick with Rev. Jim Powell, Pastor of Hobart Baptist Church in Pampa, officiating.  Burial was held at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc.

Mr. Rolland died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, in Claude.  He was born May 5, 1937, in Clovis, New Mexico, and was an Amarillo resident for 35 years before moving to Howardwick in 1995.  He married Lois Tollison on March 7, 1959, at Farwell.  He worked as a truck driver for more than 35 years and retired from Roadway Trucking in 1991.  He was a US Army Veteran and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Howardwick.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Rolland of Howardwick; two sons, Troy Rolland of Amarillo and Joe Rolland of Palestine, Texas; one brother, Pete Rolland of Irving; two sisters, Mary Joyce Harding and Dori Darby, both of Odessa; two granddaughters, Kristen Rolland and Brandie Rolland, both of Amarillo; and several nieces and nephews.

Casket bearers were Lynn Dishong, Jeff Dishong, Joe Riggins, Ken Stone, Greg Allen, and Dossie Nickell.
