Evadeen Warner David, age 98, of Clarendon died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at Bivins Memorial Nursing Home of Amarillo.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. James Edwards officiating in the Chapel of Memories at Robertson’s Funeral Home of Clarendon. Burial was in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Evadeen was born in Arkansas City, Kansas, to J.T.L. and Della Warner on February 22, 1902. She moved to Clarendon as a ten-month-old baby and attended Clarendon “old Bairfield School,” and graduated from Clarendon High School in 1921.
Evadeen married Joe David in 1924 in Clarendon. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966, her oldest son Jarrett David in 1957, and a grandson Duane Thaden in 1991.
Survivors include three sons, Ray David of Clarendon, Merle David of Buffalo, OK, and Eldon David of Oklahoma City, OK; two daughters, Jewell Millan of Tucson, AZ; and Rita Casteel of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
