A former local man is one of two Amarillo area American Red Cross Disaster Service Human Resource Volunteers currently on assignment in New York City.
Sandy Skelton, who is the executive director of Texas Panhandle Mental Health and Mental Retardation, is providing mental health counseling and support to victims, family members, and rescue workers related to the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center.
Skelton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Skelton of Clarendon.
