Funeral services for Buster R. Bain, age 69, were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2002, in Robertson Chapel of Memories in Clarendon with Richard Dickerson of Amarillo, officiating. Burial was held in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.
Mr. Bain died Wednesday, January 23, 2002, in Amarillo. He was born June 21, 1932, in Clarendon and was raised in Clarendon. He was a resident of Odessa for 25 years and had resided in Amarillo for several years. He married Frankye Nell Wilson on February 12, 1953, at Clarendon. He was a salesman for 25 years for Conley-Lott-Nichols in Odessa and was employed as a salesman for Yellow House Machinery in Amarillo. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lynn Bain, on August 26, 1996, and by his parents, Regan and Alice Bain.
Survivors include his wife, Frankye Bain of Amarillo; two sons, Phil Bain of McKinney and Regan Bain of Cedar Hill; one daughter, Jacque Lopez of Duncanville; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Casket bearers were Ronnie Jones, Charles Tibbit, Charles Hayes, Jack Albert, Mike Kerr, and Gene Hurt.
The family requests that memorials be to BSA Hospice in Amarillo.
