Graveside services for Connie Lee Henry, age 91, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2002, in Union Hill Cemetery in Lakeview with Rev. Darrell Burton, Pastor of the Martin Baptist Church in Clarendon, and Blake McWhirter, great nephew of Mrs. Henry, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc.
Mrs. Henry died Friday, October 11, 2002, in Memphis. She was born June 2, 1911, in Cook County, Texas, and had been a Hall County resident most of her life. She married Alan Thomas Henry in 1930 at Lakeview. He preceded her in death in 1978. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Memphis.
Survivors include one sister, Linnie Martin of Memphis; one brother, Woodrow Floyd of Memphis; two sisters-in-law, Ollie Wilson of Amarillo and Nina Floyd of Amarillo; seven nieces and nephews, Shirley Palmer of Tucumcari, New Mexico; Ronny Martin of Golden, Colorado; Connie McWhirter of Plains, Texas; Carolyn Davis of Memphis; Dwight Floyd of Memphis, Dwaine Floyd of Memphis; and Betty Butcher of Canadian; and numerous other family members.
The family requests that memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice in Amarillo or to the Memphis Convalescent Center Activity Fund in Memphis.
