Funeral services for Claude Lee Bagwell, age 44, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2002, in the First United Methodist Church in Claude with Rev. Janet Edwards, Pastor, officiating. Burial was held in the Claude Cemetery under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.
Mr. Bagwell died Friday, October 18, 2002, in Amarillo. He was born June 7, 1958, in Alamagordo, New Mexico, and was a Florida resident before moving to Claude in November 1996. He graduated from Nederland High School and Lamar University in Beaumont. He had been employed as an electrical engineer for Coca-Cola Foods in Leesburg, Florida. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Tammie Bagwell of Port Neches; one son, Robert Bagwell of Gap, PA; his parents, Milton and Earlene Bagwell of Claude; one sister, Linda Phillips and her husband, Al, of Dover, Arkansas.
Casket bearers were Emery Goodin, Wildon Hundley, Hayden Brunson, Toby Bagwell, Edward Stephenson, and Al Phillips.
The family requests that memorials be to the Armstrong County Museum in Claude.
