Graveside services for Larry Richard Hight, age 57, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2002, in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Bryan Knowles, Pastor of the Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc.
Mr. Hight died Wednesday, October 9, 2002, in Amarillo. He was born April 11, 1945, in Fredrick, Oklahoma, and had been a resident of Clarendon much of his life. He taught in the public school system in several area towns for most of his life before retiring. He married Vivian Gayle Molder on August 3, 1995, at Clarendon. She preceded him in death on December 26, 1999. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Hight of Dallas; two step-daughters, Becky Swearingen and Carrie Mays, both of Clarendon; one step son, David Moss of Clarendon; one sister, Charlena Ford of Clarendon; three grandchildren; and four step grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be to Citizens Cemetery Association in Clarendon or to a favorite charity.
