Memorial services for Mary Amolene “Ann” Taylor, age 81, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2003, in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Pastor Jerry Davey of Pleasant Valley Christian Church in Amarillo, officiating. Cremation took place on Friday, February 21, 2003, under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., in Clarendon.
Mrs. Taylor died Thursday, February 20, 2003, in Amarillo. She was born October 15, 1921, in Gasoline, Texas. She lived most of her early life in Hedley and Clarendon before her family moved to Amarillo in 1951. She married Earnest B. Taylor on January 7, 1938, at Clarendon. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death her husband, Ernest, in 2001; a daughter, Mary Ernestine Taylor, in 1983; three sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald W. Taylor and wife Linda, and Tony Taylor and wife Gloria, both of Amarillo; a daughter, Joyce McDonald and husband Bob of Billings, Montana; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
