Services for Mildred Vaudine Bell Page, age 83, of Seminole, Texas, were conducted on Saturday, May 24, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. in the Seagraves Church of Christ with Bro. Leo Copeland of the Westside Church of Christ in Seminole officiating, assisted by Tom Skinner and James Kennard. Graveside services followed at 1:30 p.m. in the O’Donnel City Cemetery with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole.
Mrs. Bell died Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at Seminole Memorial Healthcare Center. She was born December 3, 1919, in Wellington to Herman and Judah Bell. She graduated from Wellington High School and attended West Texas College in Canyon. She met her husband, Ira Lee Page, and they were married on December 22, 1937, in Wellington. They farmed in the O’Donnel and Page areas for many years before beginning Page Construction, which led them to Hereford, Dimmitt, Clarendon, and finally Idalou. In 1983, she began her career as a Housemother at the Smithlawn Maternity Home for 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; her parents; two brothers; one son, Don in 1958; one son, Ricky in 1988; and one grandson, Page.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Donna Page Brown of Seagraves; one son, Charles Page of Sunray; two daughters, Jeanette Stradley of Denton and Pattie Page of San Angelo; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
Donations may be made to the Smithlawn Maternity Home and Children’s Home of Lubbock.
