Services for Frank B. White III were held Sunday, June 8, 2003, at 3:00 p.m. at Polk Street United Methodist Church, and interment Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, Texas.
Mr. White, loving father, husband, and grandfather, passed away Friday, June 6, 2003.
He was born September 6, 1937, in Clarendon, Texas, and graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering. He completed his doctoral coursework at Texas A&M University. During his college years, he was a member of ATO fraternity. He was employed as a chemical and environmental engineer at the Bureau of Land and Management Helium Operations, and he was a member of the Society of Professional Engineers. He was a leader of Boy Scout Troop 86 for several years and a member of the Pantex Plant Citizens Advisory Board. He was a faithful member of Polk Street United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school for a number of years.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank White II of Clarendon.
Mr. White is survived by his wife Lynn White; his children Gene Edmiston, Frank White IV, and Elizabeth White; his aunt Helen Oakes Holt; his grandchildren Dillan and Hannah Edmiston; his nieces and nephews and other loving family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Polk Street United Methodist Church, 1401 Polk Street, Amarillo, Texas, 79101 or to First United Methodist Church, 420 S. Jefferson, Clarendon, Texas 79226.
