Clarendon College is offering preparation training for entry-level nursing assistants to achieve a level of knowledge, skills, and abilities essential to provide basic care to residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
Topics include resident’s rights, communication, safety, observation, reporting, and assisting residents in maintaining basic comfort and safety. Emphasis will be placed on effective interaction with members of the health care team.
The class will be held Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will run from October 27-November 7.
Cost of the class is $275 for tuition and $44 for textbooks. All enrolled students will need a copy of their immunization records. Financial Aid may be available for individuals who qualify through the Texas Workforce Commission. Contact the TWC for more information.
