The Panhandle Groundwater Conservation District is extending the time period for public comments on proposed district rule changes.
The original deadline for public comment was November 3, 2003, but officials now say they have moved that back indefinitely.
“We are confident that this additional time for public input will ensure a fair and constructive set of rules that preserve and protect the groundwater for present and future generations of users,” said district general manager C.E. Williams.
Copies of the proposed rules can be obtained by contacting the district office in White Deer at 806-883-2501.
