Clifford R. Beard

Funeral services for Clifford R. Beard, age 64, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2004, at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home in Grand Prairie, Texas.  Burial was held in Southland Memorial Park.

Mr. Beard died Friday, January 2, 2004, in Arlington.  He was a native of Wellington, born November 25, 1949. He was a retired fidelity bond manager for Gulf Insurance. He was an ordained minister of the Disciples of the First Christian Church and enjoyed researching genealogy and working on model trains.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Wayne Beard; his father, D.C. Beard in 1955; and his mother, Nola Conner Barker, in 1996.

Survivors include his partner and soulmate, Jerry Davis; sisters, Beatrice Burleson, Roberta Monden, and Melinda Miller; step brothers, Clyde Barker and Tillmon Barker; step sister, Sue Dell Stone; nieces and nephews, Kim Smalling, Michele Poradek, Deborah Jones,  Melanie Compton, Allisa Cox, Ronald Burleson, Doug Burleson, Kati Thomas, Wesley Barker, Robert Johnson, Melanie Johnson, Myndie Miller, and Miranda Miller; and great nephew and niece, Bradin Thomas and Brilie Barker; and step nephews and nieces.
