Graveside services for Glenda Patterson, age 70, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2004, at the Panhandle Cemetery in Panhandle with Rev. Robert E. Field officiating. Arrangements were by Schooler Funeral Home in Amarillo.
Mrs. Patterson died Thursday, January 22, 2004, in Amarillo. She was born in Eastland, Texas, in 1933. She married Richard “Pat” Patterson in Borger on August 17, 1951. She worked as a secretary in the oil and gas industry until her retirement in 1985. She and her husband then moved to Clarendon, where they raised cattle for 15 years before moving to Amarillo in 2000. They had been members of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Clarendon. They had been married for 51 years when Mr. Patterson died on January 5, 2003.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Seymour and Joy Howard, both of Fritch; one son, Richard Patterson, Jr., of Sugarland; seven grandchildren; Michael Armstrong, Christopher Armstrong, Melissa Howard, Kristi Howard, Robyn Patterson, Jonathan Patterson, and Hannah Patterson; and one great grandchild, Bryna Armstrong.
