Memorial services for Charles Dean Percival, age 61, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2004, in Robertson Chapel of Memories in Clarendon with Rev. Bryan Knowles, Pastor of the Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon, officiating. Services were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc. of Clarendon.
Cremation took place Friday, February 6 in Amarillo.
Mr. Percival was born June 10, 1942, in Clarendon and had been a resident of Clarendon most of his life. He served as captain in the US Marine Corps in Vietnam and was a recipient of the Medal of Honor and of a Purple Heart. He was an electrical engineer having worked for Continental Can Company and for Pantex most of his life before his retirement. He was an Episcopalian.
Survivors include two daughters, Theresa P. Meier of Clarendon and Krista D. Percival of Lubbock, and one grandson, Christopher Meier of Clarendon.
