Cena Jan Armstrong, age 89, died Monday, August 9, 2004, in Amarillo.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 12, in Oak Grove Memorial Garden in Irving with Dr. Lowell Howard, Pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church in Bells, Texas, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Garden with arrangements by Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.
Mrs. Armstrong was born October 27, 1914, in Black Fork, Ark. She was a resident of Whitesboro for two years before moving to Clarendon nine months ago. She married William Franklin Armstrong on May 11, 1930, in Hollis, Okla. She was a homemaker and was a member of the McArthur Church of Christ in Irving.
She was preceded in death by her husband in October 1981; by an infant son, Franklin D. Armstrong; by a son, Mutt Armstrong on October 21, 2003; and by a daughter, Betty Jo Molder, on July 21, 2004.
Survivors include one daughter, Rosellen Brogdon of Whitewright, Texas; two sons, Clarence Armstrong of Amarillo and J.O. Armstrong of Gordonville; one brother, Albert Southard of Archer City; three sisters, Ola Mae Barrick of Euless, Margene Cotton of Irving, and Clara Bell Waits of Archer City; 13 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; and 18 great great grandchildren. .
