Funeral services for JoBeth Elliott Shelley, age 47, were held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2004, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Barry Loving, pastor of the First Christian Church of Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.
Ms. Shelley died September 28, 2004, in Lubbock. She was born September 1, 1957, in Kermit. She was a graduate of Pampa High School and received her Master’s Degree in Art History from West Texas State University in Canyon. She lived in Clarendon and taught art at Clarendon College until 2001, when she moved to Lubbock. She was employed by Texas Tech University where she was working on her doctorate degree. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Pampa.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dee and Joy Henderson and Bill and Lorene Wilson; and her step-father, Bob Baker.
Survivors include her children, Andre Shelley of Clarendon, Jessie Shelley of Liberal, Kansas, and Casey Elliott of Lubbock; her mother, Peggy Baker of Amarillo; her Father, B.J. Elliott of Kermit; three sisters, Lisa Elliott of Kermit, Valorie Pfannenstiel of Houston, and Terri Wilterding and husband David of Amarillo; three brothers, Dean Elliott and wife Debbie of Pampa, Kelly Baker and wife Melody of Pampa, and Bobby Elliott of Kermit; three grandchildren, Michaela Whitaker of Clarendon, Dakota and Ethan Hardin; special friend, Andy Moneyhan of Lubbock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
