Funeral services for Jean Pinion, age 72, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2005, in the Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon with Rev. Bryan Knowles, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be held in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.
Mrs. Pinion died Sunday, May 1, 2005, in Amarillo. She was born March 22, 1933, in Amarillo and lived there most of her adult life before moving to Howardwick in 1988. She married Harold M. Pinion on May 26, 1949, in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved God and her family dearly. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing cards, and bingo. She cherished spending time with her family. She was a very loving, kind, gentle, and caring woman. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends. She was a member of the Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon and a loved member of the Rebekah Lodge #276 and #149.
She was preceded in death by her daddy and mother, Jimmie Dru and Aylleen Coin; an aunt, Loma Lou Gibbs; two grandchildren, Melanie Brogden and Candace Lax; and a great grandchild, Abigail Mullinix.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Pinion of Howardwick; five daughters LaVerne Pinion of Ceta Glen, Phyllis Chastain of Amarillo, Pattie Pinion of Amarillo, Brenda Hill and husband Tommy of Clarendon, and Debra Hill and husband Danny of Clarendon; an uncle, Howard Taylor of Oklahoma; six grandchildren: Michael and Cristy Mullinix, Dave Chastain, Chris and Courtney D’Costa, Timaree Chastain, Josey and Lauren Shadle, and Jarad Lax; and nine great grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be to BSA Hospice in Amarillo or the Rebekah Lodge in Clarendon or Amarillo.
