Funeral services for Wesley William Braddock, age 86, were held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2005, in Robertson Chapel of Memories in Clarendon with Rev. John Westman, Pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Pampa, officiating. Burial was held in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc.
Mr. Braddock died Thursday, June 23, 2005, in Pampa. He was born October 2, 1918, in Cooper, Texas, and had lived in Clarendon most of his life before moving to Pampa two years ago. He married Doris Winniefred Ing in May 1949 at Las Cruces, New Mexico. He had worked in the pipeline construction business for much of his life before his retirement. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and was a member of Clarendon VFW Post 7782. He was also a member of Pipeliners Union 798 and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Clarendon.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Steven Keith Braddock and Robert Wayne Braddock.
Survivors include his wife, Doris of Pampa; one son, Dennis Braddock of Amarillo; two daughters, Pat Ford and husband Ben of Pampa and Dorothy Hahn and husband Scott of Canyon; one sister, Bobbie Gilchrist of Tuttle, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
