Bobby Joe Myers

Bobby Joe Myers, 73, of Clarendon passed away September 17, 2005, in Amarillo, Texas.  Graveside services were held on Sunday, September 18, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Bro. Bryan Knowles officiating.

Mr. Myers was born May 13, 1932, to Dewey and Ida Myers in Brice, Texas.  He married Nadine Hancock on August 16, 1950, in Memphis, Texas.  Mr. Myers was a retired commercial building contractor.  He was also the previous owner of Myers-Long Funeral Directors.  Mr. Myers was a member of the First Christian Church of Clarendon.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine, of Clarendon; two daughters, Cindy Myers of Clarendon and Joni Chancellor of McKinney; one son, Dewey Bob Myers of Dallas; three grandchildren, Doshia Chaison-Holt of Clarendon, Kathryn Myers of Dallas, and John Preston Myers of Clarendon; and one great grandchild, Marlee Jane Barbee of Clarendon.
