Funeral services for Earline Fortenberry McGuire, age 73, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at Robertson Chapel of Memories in Clarendon with Rev. Bryan Knowles, Baptist minister, officiating. Burial was held at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.
Mrs. McGuire died Monday, January 2, 2006, in Waco, Texas. She was born in Hedley, Donley County, Texas, to Earl Fortenberry and George Anne Builderback Fortenberry. She married Wallace McGuire on January 13, 1970, in Amarillo. She lived in Amarillo must of her life and then settled in Georgia for the past 33 years. She recently had relocated to Waco. She loved Georgia for the scenery and enjoyed picnics and long drives. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and wife, and was a devoted Christian. She was a member of the Emory Chapel in Thomaston, Georgia. The family wishes to thank Providence Hospital in Waco for all their love and support.
Survivors include her husband, Wallace McGuire of Hewitt, Texas; two daughters, Linda Perich and husband Pete of Mooreville, Texas, and Brenda Humphrey and husband Alvin of Hewitt; two step sons, Mickey McGuire and wife Sherri of Ohio and Steve McGuire and wife Emerald of South Carolina; grandchildren, Tammy Juneau of Amarillo, Ethan Humphrey and wife Stephanie of Lorena, Jason Perich of Houston, and nine other grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
