Pauline Heath Hardin, age 87, of Brownwood, formerly of Clarendon, died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2006, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Allen officiating. A second funeral service with Rev. Larry White officiating was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2006, at First Baptist Church in Clarendon. Interment followed the Clarendon service in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Ms. Hardin was born March 23, 1919, in Clarendon to Stanley and Beulah Hancock Carlile. She married Hershel Heath at Clarendon in 1938. She later married Hall Hardin also in Clarendon in 1989. Ms. Hardin was a school teacher for more than 30 years and contributed greatly to her students. She was a Baptist and very active in both First Baptist Church of Clarendon and Coggin Avenue Baptist Church with the Women’s Missionary Union, taught English to adults at the Brownwood Family Services facility, and was a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association. Ms. Hardin had lived in Brownwood since 1993 with previous 70 plus years being in Clarendon.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hershel Heath and Hall Hardin; a son, Patrick Heath; parents, Stanley and Beaulah Hancock Carlile; and brother, W. S. Carlile.
She is survived by sons, Mike Heath and wife Judy of Brownwood and Kent Heath of Frisco, Texas; grandsons, Tim Heath and wife Julia of Mansfield and Joseph Heath of Frisco; granddaughters, Christy Bunyan of Allen, and Mikah Knox and husband David of Haslet; six great grandsons; two great granddaughters; sisters, Marie Hill of Clarendon and Katrina Connor and husband Hillary of Baltimore, Maryland; brother, John Carlile and wife June of Granbury; and numerous nieces and nephews.
