Judith Marie (Hathaway) Sanders, 63, died Sunday, June 11, in Boise City, Okla., after a very brave battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS).
Judy was born August, 19, 1942, in Boise City and was a member of a non-denominational fellowship that met in the home. She was an artist of many mediums and enjoyed playing the piano.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Sanders, of Boise City; three daughters, Kenna and husband, Harold Dodds of Texarkana, Myrna and husband Tim Johnson of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Beth Burd of Palm Springs, Calif., who has resided in Boise City since January taking care of her mother; two sisters, Rosa Lee and husband George Emrick of Colorado Springs, Colo., Vicky and husband Charles Hahn of Texarkana; and two brothers, Kenny and wife Alma Hathaway of Mullan, ID, and William and wife Ute Hathaway of Post Falls, ID; eight grandchildren, Clint Wright, Kurt Wright, and Warren Dodds of Texarkana, Justin Johnson of Cheyenne, Wyo., Jocelyn (Johnson) Leithead of Torrington, Wyo., and Dalton Rosado, Caitlyn Price, and David Burd of Palm Springs, Calif.; two great-grandchildren: Jaylin and Kayden Wright, of Texarkana; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The funeral service was Wednesday, June 14, at the Fairgrounds in Boise City at 10:30 a.m., under the direction of Cimarron Mortuary with Kelvin Naef, Diane Newbouse, and Eric Hahn officiating. A luncheon followed. Interment was at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon on Thursday, June 15, at 1:00 p.m. with Eric Hahn and Nita Bearden officiating.
