Ralph L. (Larry) Nichols of Mesquite passed away July 28, 2006.
He was born February 3, 1930, in Clarendon, and was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Winston Nichols, and his mother, Winnie Nichols-McCall.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doris Nichols; one daughter, Vicki Brooks and husband, David; one son, Paul Nichols and wife, Angie; four grandchildren, Lauren and Jonathan Brooks, Megan Nichols, and Dalton Trott; two sisters, RaNelle Parker and husband T. F., Martha Northcutt and husband Bobby; one sister-in-law, Jonell Bean; one uncle, Bob Nichols of Denton; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Ralph, who was affectionately known to his family as Larry, began his life in Clarendon, Texas, where he lived for many years until he moved to the Dallas area. He later served his country in the United States Navy, graduated from North Texas State University, and worked for Royal Insurance Company until his retirement at the age of 62. He was a member of the Meadow View Church of Christ.
Services were 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at the Meadow View Church of Christ, 4100 N. Galloway, Mesquite, TX. 75150.
