Gracie Brown Speed

Gracie Brown Speed, 88, died Friday October 13, 2006, in Temple, Texas.

Services will be held Friday, October 20, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. in Rowe Cemetery in Hedley with Rev. Bryan Knowles, Baptist Minister, officiating.  Burial will take place in Rowe Cemetery in Hedley.  Services are under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors, Inc., of Clarendon.

Mrs. Speed was born October 5, 1918, in Georgetown, Louisiana, to John Cain Brown and Bessie Elizabeth Moore Brown.  She was a resident of Temple Living Center in Temple.  She was a Presbyterian.

Mrs. Speed was preceded in death by her parents; two sons; Gilbert Speed on May 11, 2005, and Bobby Gene Brown on May 15, 2002; one brother, Roy Brown on January 18, 1999.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
