Gladys Mildred Tice, 82, died Sunday, September 23, 2007, in Hughes Springs.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, in Robertson Chapel of Memories in Clarendon, with Billie E. Barker Jr., nephew, officiating. Burial was held at Panhandle Cemetery in Panhandle. Services were under the arrangement of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Mrs. Tice was born January 5, 1925, in Brice, Hall County, to Claudie Cecil and Beulah Gertrude Williams Rich. She was a long-time resident of Panhandle before moving to Hughes Springs six years ago. She married T. J. Tice on May 21, 1942, at Memphis. She had worked as a CNA for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Panhandle.
She was preceded in death by her husband on September 9, 1984.
Survivors include four daughters, Nora Jean Suttles and Loretta Colwick both of Hughes Springs, Linda Whitt of Panhandle, Barbara Ivey of Claude; one brother, Cecil Rich of Amarillo; four sisters, Edith Hinkle of Tahoka, Jane Barker and Mina Ivey both of Clarendon, Mary Denton of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
