Carrel Rippetoe, 80, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007, in Amarillo.
Services were held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2007, in the First Assembly of God Church in Clarendon with Rev. Matthew Stidham, Pastor, and Rev. Bill Hodges, Pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial was held in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Services were under the arrangement of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Mr. Rippetoe was born May 21, 1927, in Sayre, Oklahoma to William and Geneva Brown Rippetoe. He married Neoma Dickerson on December 31, 1949, at Sayre, Oklahoma. He had been a resident of Clarendon most of his life. He had worked in the Water & Sewage Departments for City of Clarendon and Red River Water Authority. He was a member of the First Assembly of God.
Mr. Rippetoe was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Reggie Rippetoe; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Neoma of Clarendon; three daughters, Sandy Cox of Clarendon, Judy Bybee of Amarillo, and Deborah Powers of Amarillo; three sons, Eric Rippetoe of Clarendon, Ronnie Rippetoe of Amarillo, and David Rippetoe of Guthrie, Oklahoma; two brothers, Gene Rippetoe and Jack Rippetoe, both of Pampa; 11 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be to the First Assembly of God, P.O. Drawer F, Clarendon, Texas 79226.
