Edith Jewel Hinkle, 88, of Tahoka died on October 30, 2007, in Lubbock.
Mrs. Hinkle was born January 3, 1919, to Claudie Cecil Rich and Beaula Gertrude Williams Rich. Edith attended school in Powell. She married Roy B. Hinkle in Clarendon on October 14, 1939. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1987. Mrs. Hinkle was a homemaker and a member of the Tahoka Church of Christ.
Survivors include four sons, Roy Hinkle of Tahoka; Alfred Hinkle and Claudie Hinkle both of Amarillo; Robert Hinkle of Snyder; one daughter, Ruby Bernice Dotson of Graham, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, one brother, Cecil Rich of Amarillo; three sisters, Martha Jane Barker of Clarendon; Mary Gertrude Denton of Amarillo, and Mina Alice Ivey of Clarendon.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the Tahoka Church of Christ with Ron Fant officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m., November 1, 2007 in Clarendon, Texas.
