Dusty Lynn Allen, age 35, died December 5, 2007, in Amarillo.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. His life was celebrated by family and friends. Arrangements were by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Mr. Allen was born into this life on April 23, 1972, in Odessa. An exceptional athlete, he graduated from Clarendon High School. He married Redonda Lane in Amarillo on February 23, 1997. Dusty was a loving husband who was devoted to his family and friends. He was an accomplished artist. He studied the Bible extensively, was a beloved follower of Christ, and prayed for the peace of Jerusalem and the church. He attended St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and the Central Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Redonda Allen of Amarillo; his mother, Shirley Harmon and her husband Robert James of Tulia; one sister, Kandy D-Ann Pounds of Sunray; two brothers, Tony Gene Floyd of Amarillo; and Sandy Wade Baca of Bloomfield, New Mexico; one step-daughter, Allison Oles-Cox of Amarillo; one step-son, Christopher Oles of Amarillo; and three grandchildren.
