Mildred Louise Stewart, 79, died Monday, April 4, 2011, in Amarillo.
Services were held Wednesday, April 6, in First Baptist Church in Hedley with Rev. Anthony Knowles, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Estelline, officiating. Interment was held at Rowe Cemetery in Hedley. Arrangements were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Louise was born January 9, 1932 in Hedley to Sidney Levi & Mable Wiles Dodson. She married Paul Vosco “Froggie“ Stewart on December 11, 1953. She had been a lifetime resident of Hedley. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and sold Avon for a number of years.
She was a member of the Hedley Lioness Club and the First Baptist Church
in Hedley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on February 6, 2009; her grandson, Bradley Dale Stewart; 4 brothers, Sidney, Gerald, Vern, and Laurence; six sisters, Dorothy, Ruth, Rachel, May bell, Alice, and
Christine.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Don Stewart of Hedley and Jimmy Dale Stewart of Arlington; a daughter, Lisa Ann Alsup of Chanute, KS; and a niece, Joyce Howell and husband Jimmy Don of Amarillo.
The family request memorials be sent to Rowe Cemetery Association.
