Light up the night July 7, 2011 by Roger Estlack Leave a Comment There were no fireworks this Fourth of July, but the Mulkey Theatre put on a light show of its own when the Mulkey Advisory Committee lit up the newly restored neon for the weekend, July 1-4. A temporary electric service allowed the neon to glow again for the first time in more than two decades, drawing a lot of traffic downtown. The neon was disconnected this week so work can continue on the marquee and front of the theatre. The committee hopes to have a formal lighting of the marquee later this year.
