Despite Shamrock’s comeback attempt, the Lady Broncos were able to hold on and get the win.

The Lady Broncos got back on track in the final game of the tournament when they destroyed Groom 61-39.
Their offense took control of the game and muscled the Lady Tigers in the win. Shadle was on fire from the three-point line as she made good on five threes. Shadle and Cartwright finished in double figures to lead their team to the lopsided win.
“The girls played hard,” coach Molly Weatherred said. “But we have to get our legs back under us after the long break. I think some of the things we did was the result of not being in the gym for five days. We’ll get back in the groove.”
Scoring: Shadle 19, Cartwright 12, Starnes 9, L. Howard 7, Dronzek 6, Ceniceros 4, D. Howard 2, and Audrey Shelton 2.
The ladies will open district play Friday night, January 6, at Memphis beginning at 7:30 p.m. and the junior varsity will play at 6:00 p.m.
