April 25, 2012 by Morgan Wheatly Leave a Comment The Donley County 4-H Senior Livestock Judging team performed well during the District 1 4-H Livestock Judging contest on Friday, April 19. Austin Adams, Tylee Williams, Jayson Pigg and John Pigg placed 3rd overall as a team, and they will advance to the State contest to be held in Lubbock in June. Individually, Tylee was 1st high in beef, 3rd high in Reasons, and 6th overall. John was 9th high in Sheep, 9th high in Reasons, 10th high in beef, and 8th high individual over all. Jayson was 7th high in Beef and 13th overall, and Austin was 9th high in Swine and 16th high individual overall. As a team, the Donley County youth were 2nd High team in Beef and 3rd High in Reasons and Sheep, and 4th High in the Swine Division. Also participating in the district contest but not pictured was the junior team consisting of Blaine Ellis, Clint Franks, Cole Franks, and Jacob Hewitt. They placed 11th out of 43 teams.
