Henry Wendell Talley passed away Monday, April 30, in Topeka, Kan. A memorial service is planned at a later date.
Talley was born June 2, 1941, in Hedley, to Wanna Mae Carothers Talley and Emery W. Talley.
Talley was always interested in our country and all the elected officials of his choice. He stayed in contact with them and supported them. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Thailand in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and he was a jet mechanic and served on bombing missions over North Vietnam.
He enjoyed reading his Bible and was quite knowledgeable about the scriptures. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Tally had many friends in Clarendon who were helpful and supportive of him in years past. For this the family is extremely grateful.
Survivors include two sisters, Maxine Robinson of Clarendon and Judy Hays of Bingam, New Mexico; three nieces, Mona Oney of Cleburne, Lori Robinson of Clarendon, and Christina Childress of Lubbock; one nephew, Clint Robinson of Lubbock; and several great nieces and nephews.
