Doyle Clayton Hall, 76, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, in Amarillo.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013, in the Calvary Baptist Church in Clarendon with Rev. Rob Seale, pastor, officiating. Burial followed at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements are under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Doyle was born May 4, 1936, in Clarendon to Monty Joe Hall and Alice Peabody Hall. He had been a lifelong resident of Clarendon. He married Carol Lane on August 26, 1955, at Lubbock.
Doyle spent many years farming around the Clarendon area, but when he wasn’t farming, he loved working and training horses. Doyle loved his family and was truly devoted to his church. He held several offices at the Calvary Baptist Church and had served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Luther, George, Glen, and Dale Hall; a sister, Josie Mitchell; and by two son-in-laws, David Jones and Zeke Taylor.
He is survived by his wife Carol Hall, of Clarendon; a son, Dan Hall and wife Michelle of Clarendon; two daughters, Sue Jones of Minot, North Dakota, Janie Taylor of Rendon, Texas; a brother Lowell Hall and wife Anna of Cushing, Oklahoma; a sister, Nettie Glisson of Amarillo; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church or the Donley County Senior Citizens.
