A 2007 Peterbilt truck goes up in a huge fireball on US 287 in Clarendon Saturday August 17 threatening the building housing Faith Saddlery The truck driver 41 year old Fasil Mengistu Alemu of Eagan Minn escaped from the fire unharmed The truck was completely destroyed but the trailer and cargo were undamaged The building sustained broken windows and fire damage to the awning This was the third time a truck has burned to the ground in Donley County this summer Responding to the incident were members of the Clarendon Hedley and Howardwick fire departments Donley County Sheriffs Office Donley County EMS Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Department of Transportation The Enterprise appreciates Kelly Hill and Lige Smith for also providing photos of this fire Enterprise Photo Roger Estlack
