The Clarendon Broncos demolished the Canadian Wildcats at home by the score of 73-24. A great offensive surge in the second half helped to seal the win after the Broncos stifled the Wildcats with aggressive defense.
Clarendon jumped on the Cats early and grabbed the coveted momentum. After settling into a rhythm, three Broncos finished in double figures and the team shot 76 percent from the free throw line.
“We were able to get turnovers and turn those into points,” head coach Brandt Lockhart said. “We did a good job of pushing the ball down the court. I was pleased with our overall effort.”
Scoring: JoJo Cartwright 16, Charles Mason 14, Chance McAnear 10, Jr Ceniceros 9, Ashton Smith 8, Bryce Hatley 6, Cedrick McCampbell 4, Chesson Sims 2, Riley Shadle 2, and Chance Lockhart 2.
The Broncos will play in the Canadian Tournament December 27 and travel to Memphis December 31. They will play Ascension Academy on January 2 and play Childress on the road January 3.
