Duane W Naylor, 83 of Vernon, Texas died on Friday, June 27, 2014, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, TX under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Duane was born Sunday, December 21, 1930, in Donley County, Texas; He was the son of the late Thomas Earl Naylor and the late Thelma Lee Bain. He married Mae Morris on October 12, 1951, in Clarendon, TX. He had lived in Foard County till 1955 and later moved to Vernon February of 1993. He served in the US Army 1st Armored Division of Ft. Hood, TX. He was a Master Mason, Member of Scottish Rite and York Rite Mason’s and Red Cross. He was a Farmer and State Prison Security Officer. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Memorials can be made to Vernon Masonic Lodge, Shiner’s Children Hospital or Wilbarger Co. Humane Society.
