The Clarendon Broncos are ready. They will play their first game of the season this Friday night at Tulia beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Many tough practices and two good scrimmages have prepared the Broncos for their 2014 season. According to athletic director and head coach Gary Jack, the Broncos are ready for the games.
“I feel like we are ready to begin the season, and we were finally able to complete a scrimmage the other night at Electra,” Jack said. “Both the junior varsity and varsity did a good job. We were able to see some things that we need to clean up, but it was a good test.”
According to Jack, the Broncos stayed right with the Tigers and basically traded touchdowns.
“In the scrimmage, we scored twice and they scored once and then in the live quarter, they found the end zone twice and we were there once, so it was fairly even,” Jack said. “Our running backs are running good, and we all looked sharp.”
Go support the Broncos Friday night, August 29, at Tulia at 7:30 p.m.
The junior varsity will take on Tulia on Thursday, August 28 at Bronco Stadium beginning at 6:00 p.m.
