Datha Allene DeMoss, age 85, died Monday, September 1, 2014, in Clarendon.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, in Robertson Funeral Directors Saints’ Roost Chapel in Clarendon with Rev. Dave Stout, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Howardwick, officiating. Interment was held at 2 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa with arrangments by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Datha was born April 21, 1929, in Phillips to Ewell and Lila Herd. She married Charles DeMoss on June 3, 1945, in Sayre, Okla. She loved to dance, listening to music, and water skiing. She enjoyed working with crafts and traveling. She had been a resident of Howardwick since 1992 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Howardwick.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Anita Louise Dunham; and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Charles DeMoss of Howardwick; a son, Rodney DeMoss of Canyon; a daughter, Charlotte Rogowski of Woodbury, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials be to the Khiva Shriners.
