The Lady Bulldogs opened this year’s home games with an 80-49 thrashing of Trinidad State Junior College, out of Trinidad Colorado, last Friday, October 31 – Halloween, no less. The Lady Bulldogs played like monsters, truly appropriate for the evening.
CC used an aggressive, smothering defense to keep Trinidad out of the paint, and controlled the boards when Trinidad was able to get long-range shots off.
Of the offensive side of the court, the Lady Bulldogs were able to hit often and regularly on 3-point shots, and drove into the paint for layups pretty much at will.
CC took a 52 – 20 lead into half-time, and extended their lead in the second half, as they continued their onslaught throughout the game. They continued to dominate the boards, both offensively and defensively, shot well throughout the game, and did an played excellent defense.
The Lady Bulldogs return home again on the 11th of November, when they play host to Western Oklahoma State College. Tip-off is 6:00 P.M.
On November 13, the Lady Bulldogs host Garden City Community College – tip-off at the Dawg House is 5:30 P.M.
Everyone is encouraged to come out and enjoy the superior basketball played by the Lady Bulldogs. They are a treat to watch.
