The Broncos gave their all against a good Perryton team Tuesday night at home, but came up short at 47-50. A slow-shooting second quarter pushed the momentum to Perryton’s side and the Rangers took advantage of it outscoring the Broncos by 13 points.
The Broncos did not give up and came back with vengeance in the second half of play. They outscored their opponent in the last quarter by seven points, but it was not enough to overtake them and get the win.
“We did not shoot the ball that well,” coach Brandt Lockhart said. “But I was pleased with our effort. The kids did a great job of coming back. We were down 17 points at one time.”
Bryce Grahn turned in 20 points to lead the Broncos and he finished with two three-pointers, 75 percent from the bonus line, two assists, and two steals. Cedrick McCampbell turned in seven points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Chance Lockhart had eight points and Charles Mason helped the Broncos with five points and two assists. Jr. Ceniceros put in five points and Chesson Sims finished with two points and five rebounds.
The Broncos will participate in the Claude Tournament to be held December 4-6.
