Breaking the bank March 25, 2015 by Morgan Wheatly Leave a Comment A Memphis man made an unplanned stop in Clarendon March 18 when his vehicle collided with a brick wall behind Herring Bank. The Donley County Sheriff’s office says 71-year-old Stephen Joseph Gerkey was eastbound on US 287 when he went off the road at the Gorst Street intersection, struck the curb, became airborne for a short time above the sidewalk, and then crashed into brick wall on the south side of the bank parking lot.
