A Memphis man made an unplanned stop in Clarendon March 18 when his vehicle collided with a brick wall behind Herring Bank The Donley County Sheriffs office says 71 year old Stephen Joseph Gerkey was eastbound on US 287 when he went off the road at the Gorst Street intersection struck the curb became airborne for a short time above the sidewalk and then crashed into brick wall on the south side of the bank parking lot Gerkey was cited for failure to control speed Enterprise Photo Roger Estlack
