ABC 7’s Drew Powell of Amarillo toured the Mulkey Theatre Tuesday morning and aired a segment that evening on the continuing effort to rehabilitate the 1946 movie house for modern use as a performance hall and coference center as well as a modern cinema venue. The Clarendon Economic Development Corporation board voted last week to press forward with renovations to the interior of the building with a focus on extending the theatre’s stage.
