Edna DeBord Dishman, 105, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016, in Dallas.
Services were held on Saturday, February 13, 2016, in the Robertson Funeral Directors Saints’ Roost Chapel in Clarendon with Rev. Judith Reedy and Ray DeBord, officiating.
Burial followed at Rowe Cemetery in Hedley.
Arrangements were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Edna DeBord Dishman was born in Hedley on August 26, 1910. She married Elmer Dishman on October 12, 1933. She was a farmer’s wife and a hair stylist having completed a course of study at San Jacinto School of Beauty and Culture, Amarillo on March 25, 1940. She worked for many years dressing hair in Clarendon and in Lelia Lake. Edna lived in Donley County for 85 years. She moved to Dallas February 1, 1996, where she lived until her death on February 10, 2016. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William H & Mattie Jamar DeBord, her siblings: five brothers Joe, Burk, Clifford, Lawrence, & Clarence; and two sisters, Geneva & Helen.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ann Reed and husband Michael, an Jo Adams; her son Keith Dishman and husband Del; her granddaughter, Karen Craig and husband Roger and her grandson, Stace Hunt and wife Kathie; four great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
The family request memorials be sent to Rowe Cemetery in Hedley or Grace United Methodist Church / 4105 Junius Street / Dallas, TX 75246.
