The Bronco baseball team took advantage of big second and sixth innings to oust the Fritch Eagles at 9-1 last Saturday at home.
The scoring in the second period began when Preston Elam stole home plate. Nathan Shadle and Bryce Hatley earned walks to get on base, and Caleb Cobb knocked down a sacrifice fly.
Elam went 2-4 from the plate to lead the Broncos and he drove in one run and scored one run. He also RBI singled in the sixth inning. Nick Shadle also had an RBI single in the sixth.
The Broncos will play in the Childress Tournament March 3-5 and take on Quanah at home on Thursday, March 8. March 10-11 they will compete in the Fritch Tournament.
