The Lady Broncos added one to their winning column last week as they defeated Claude at home in a big way at 12-2. But they also added one to their loss column at Gruver with an 8-18 final.
According to head coach Gary Jack, the Lady Broncos played well against the Lady Hounds, but let one inning get away from them.
“We were ahead at one time 6-1,” Jack said. “It was then tied at eight all, but the sixth inning killed us.”
That one big inning hurt the Lady Broncos’ chances of pulling out the win.
They were able to rebound quickly and soundly defeat the Claude Lady Mustangs at home.
“The girls played a really good game,” Jack said. “They also played good against Gruver, but they let that one inning hurt us.”
The Lady Broncos will be playing at West Texas High on Saturday, April 2, beginning at 1:00 p.m. They will travel to Memphis on Monday, April 4, and play at 4:00 p.m.
