Thanksgiving blaze November 30, 2016 by Morgan Wheatly Leave a Comment Clarendon volunteer firemen respond to a Thanksgiving Day fire that destroyed the home of Mandy McKinney. Firemen were dispatched at 12:36 p.m. to the fire in the 200 block of Sims Street. Fire Chief Jeremy Powell said the fire started outside the home and appears to have been an electrical issue. The fire burned into the home, which then suffered heavy fire and smoke damage. No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. Twelve firemen and seven units responded to the blaze. Powell said the house may be a total loss due to the damage suffered from the fire. Enterprise Photo / Roger Estlack
