Charlotte Kay Johnson, 77, died Friday, January 6, 2017, in Amarillo.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017, in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Anthony Knowles, officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Charlotte was born April 21, 1939, in Ashtola to Henry and Thelma Parker Wilson. She married Bobby Lynn Johnson on September 17, 1955 in Martin. She had been a resident of Clarendon and Amarillo most of her life. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crochet and needlework. Her pleasure was raising her kids and grandkids. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Amarillo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on July 9, 2014; a son, David Johnson; a daughter, Lisa Chapman; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; and a grandson, Randy Joe Hill, Jr.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Kay Lynn Hill and husband Randy of Canyon, Renee Johnson and Ernie Saldivar of Post, and Shelly Johnson and partner Jan Holly of Amarillo; 3 sisters, Betty Wilson, Frankye Bain, and Shirely Jones all of Amarillo; 3 grandchildren, Jenny Baker and husband Justin of Bushland, Jamie McCoy and husband J.D. of Oklahoma City, and Whitney Graye and husband Gene of California; and 5 great grandsons.
The family request memorials be sent to BSA Hospice of the Southwest, American Heart Association, or the ASPCA.
