Jimmy Sullivan, 84, of Amarillo, died Saturday, September 26, 2020. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Chaplain Jeff Messer officiating.
Jimmy was born August 26, 1936 in Clarendon to Tom and Dawsie Sullivan. He moved to Amarillo from Clarendon in 1962. He married Betty Venable on May 26, 1985, in Amarillo, and worked for the Texas Highway Dept. for over 20 years. In his spare time, Jimmmy camped and fished. He enjoyed travelling in his RV, and watching football. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Vandy Bramblett; a brother, W.T. Sullivan; and four sisters, Pauline Brazil, Dee Mayo, Jane Mosch, and Helen Sullivan.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Sullivan; a son, Mark Sullivan of Amarillo; two brothers, Joe Sullivan and wife Barbara of Amarillo, and Jack Sullivan and wife Marilyn of New York; seven grandchildren, Charlie Sullivan and wife Tisha, Gary Sullivan, Shawnta Sullivan, Brandy Sullivan, and Derek Bramblett and wife Jessica all of Amarillo, Tim Sullivan and wife Karen of Clovis, New Mexico, and Zachary Campbell; and 17 great-grandchildren.
